100% Carbon Neutral Delivery
We prefer carbon neutral delivery services where available, and we offset everything else.
How we offset deliveries
We calculate Co2 emissions for every delivery based on weight, size and travel distance.
We estimate travel distance by measuring road distances between each tracking location in a deliveries journey.
If tracking data isn't available, we use a straight-line distance, multiplying by an uncertainty factor of 1.5.
We then calculate emissions, always rounding up and overestimating to ensure each delivery is fully offset.
We purchase trustworthy Verified Carbon Credits through pachama.com.
Sustainable Operations
All of our buildings run on 100% renewable energy, helping support wind & solar projects throughout the UK.
How we are working to make all our operations sustainable
We source all of the electricity that's used to heat, cool, light and power our buildings from 100% renewable sources, including solar, wind and hydro.
Our website and technology is hosted on the Google Cloud Platform. Google matches 100% of the energy consumed with renewable energy.
Some of our systems only run on Microsoft Windows Server. These services are hosted on Microsoft Azure. Microsoft has committed to making these data centres powered by 100% renewable power by 2025. In the meantime, Lampsy is offsetting these CO2 emissions with verified carbon credits.
Product Sustainability
We carefully source products that are well designed & made. All of our wood comes from sustainable sources or is FSC certified, and we only sell energy efficient lighting & bulbs.
